Hello everyone, I very much appreciate you taking the time to check out my artwork. I hope that it inspires you to enjoy the natural beauty of the world around us, and the people and animal friends that we get to experience it with.

As a child growing up in New Mexico, I spent my free time filling up sketchbooks with desert landscapes, wildlife – and the occasional action figure and stick people. I took art classes throughout high school and into my early years of college. After that, however, I developed most of my ability to illustrate by practice and patience. Two simple rules that really helped me get to where I am today are: 1. Draw what you see, not what you think is there, 2. Keep going until the picture is complete, in other words, don’t give up on it! After you get these down you can start to branch out into more freedom and creativity.

I love to capture the tiny details that make everything around us so unique. I hope it helps the viewers of my art take a closer look at each piece, and also, the world around us. There is so much to see, explore, smell, and feel that sometimes we all need a little reminder to slow down and not take it for granted.

I have started to take this idea a bit further and hide little details throughout my drawings. It helps to really emphasize this idea of looking closely. Who knows, you may stumble across an arrowhead, fossil, feather, or a small animal somewhere in my art you that didn’t expect.

Thank you for your support, please reach out with any questions.

When I’m not creating art, I can be found chasing after my wife, our two kids, and our growing flock of hens!
